ABOUT LARA.

I'm a hybrid Georgia-California girl, and love both places fiercely.  I think I've
got equal parts Georgia red clay and Pacific ocean running through my veins.
And sometimes the contrast of holding these two places together inside
makes me feel like I'm going to split apart.  But it's a good thing - it's part of
what makes me who I am, and t
eaches me how to make peace with what
seem to be
opposites or extremes.

I love music, art, people, Mother Nature, all living things.  My music and art
are the same thing to me really, just different expressions of the same
vibration.  They inspire
and play with each other.  When I'm paying attention, I
feel the constant hum of everything - the
music of the spheres and the music
internal to all life.  I think we all do in our own way, and then I translate my
feeling of that vibration into sound or color.

Most weekends will find me at the beach or hiking in the nearby mountains of
Los Angeles.  It's really easy to connect to th
at universal hum when I'm in
nature, so I spend a lot of time outside.  I laugh and cry a lot.  I love books,
f
lavors, texture, scents, wine.  I am devoted to my friends and family.  I am
impressed by originality, empathy, sensuality and kindness.  I think curiosity is
a much better choice than judgment.
And I feel a peaceful urgency to do my
creative work, to dig deeper inside and not let fear or apathy hold me back.

There's so much going on in our world right now.  For my part, I feel music is
one of the most powerful forces for Unity.  A medium for connecting us in the
midst of our extreme emotional, spiritual, and nationalistic differences.  We
may sometimes look like opposites, but we're also all the same.  My hope is
for my music and art to create a connection between my heart and those who
encounter me/my creations.  A way to share
and receive Love.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and share in my creations.
Namaste.
